For A24’s Crystal Lake novelization, Dexter Maurer created a vintage-inspired cover suite centered on the psychological roots of Pam Voorhees and her son, Jason.
The front cover features a double-exposure silhouette of Pam Voorhees framing the eerie landscape of Crystal Lake, blending her towering presence directly into the water and tree line.
The back cover displays a pair of ornate golden shears with watchful human eyes set inside the finger loops—a stark, uncanny symbol of Pam’s vengeful gaze.
The artwork seamlessly bridges classic 1980s slasher nostalgia with A24’s elevated design aesthetic.
