This project involved creating a series of visual augmentations for A$AP Rocky's "Highjack" music video, building a surreal and tactile universe. Drawing from a rich palette of cinematic influences—including the stop-motion grotesquerie of Mad God, the pioneering fantasy of Le Voyage sur la Lune, and the biological surrealism of Crimes of the Future—my work aimed to bridge handcrafted artistry with digital music imagery.
The augmentations merge miniature model aesthetics, digital matte paintings, and surreal prosthetic designs to construct a dreamlike, almost tangible atmosphere. This approach provided a distinct visual texture that moves between the uncanny and the archaic, supporting the video's narrative and amplifying its otherworldly mood.
