For French rapper Lay Low's album, L'étrange histoire de Mr.Anderson, the art direction centers on a powerful, cinematic teaser image: a yellow Lamborghini Countach speeding furiously down a dark forest road.
My approach was to push this striking contrast to the heart of the album's visual identity. The Countach, an ultimate icon of opulence and speed, becomes a character in its own right—a vehicle for escape or pursuit within a dreamlike and unsettling narrative. The forest, dense and mysterious, is not merely a backdrop but an entity that seems to absorb and defy the machine.
The illustration captures a moment of pure tension, where the car's electric yellow hue tears through the green and brown shadows of the woods. The goal was to visualize the "strange story" promised by the title: a tale of luxury, paranoia, and a frantic race, where the hero, Mr. Anderson, is both pursued and trapped by his own status symbol. The artwork functions as a key scene from a noir film, condensing the entire drama and enigmatic atmosphere of the album into a single, iconic frame.
