For the Marcelo Burlon Fall/Winter 2022 collection, the creative vision was to build a universe that merges sci-fi grandeur with the raw aesthetics of fantasy. The collection's narrative unfolded as a sprawling saga of interstellar pioneers, and my role was to visualize its core themes through a series of illustrations.
The artwork delves into the epic codes of the genre: settlers landing on alien terrains, the domestication of otherworldly beasts, the assembly of sentient robots, and lone rangers navigating vast, unknown frontiers. I focused on creating a visual language where organic, tribal patterns—a signature of the Marcelo Burlon identity—collide with the sleek, utilitarian lines of advanced technology. Each piece tells a fragment of a larger story, depicting a world where humanity is not just exploring the cosmos, but imposing its will upon it, taming wild planets and building new societies from the ground up. This project was an exercise in world-building, translating the energy of a fashion collection into the iconography of a foundational sci-fi epic.
